Make the house you love fit the family you have now.
Large extensions and whole-house renovations across Derry, Strabane, Inishowen and the surrounding area. I look at how your whole house works, then design the changes that make everyday life easier
When the house stops fitting
The kitchen can't hold everyone. There's nowhere quiet to work. The children are growing, or a parent is moving in. You like the area and the neighbours, and moving doesn't feel right. The house as it stands just isn't working any more.
What makes a good extension?
1. It starts with how you live. Before I draw, I want to know how your days run. The best extensions improve the whole ground floor, and the new room is only part of that.
2. It works with the house you have. Levels, structure, drainage and the older parts of the house shape what makes sense. I look at those first, so the design suits the building.
3. It's drawn for your budget. We agree what you want to spend, then design to it. Clear, detailed drawings mean builders can price it properly.
4. It has the right approvals. Some extensions need planning permission and some don't, and the rules differ north and south. Either way, the work has to meet the building regulations. I look after both.
Who I work best with
I do my best work on larger extensions, whole-house renovations and older homes, for families who want the whole house to work better. If your project is small and needs little design input, I'll tell you on the call and point you in a sensible direction.
